As much as I love the long, lazy days of summer (and a little ice cream for dinner more than once - that’s what happens when Pilates on Plain’s neighbour is Tasty Scoop) and they serve up Kawartha icecream), there’s something magical about the shift into fall. September feels like a New Year to me. I think it comes from being a mom and kids going back to school. A time to reset, refocus, and refresh every part of our lives.
It’s the season of cozy routines, crisp air, and a perfect excuse to get back to what makes you feel your best. And at Pilates on Plains, we’re all about helping you reset with grace, not guilt.

Let’s swap “back to the grind” for “back to the mat/reformer.” Fall is the perfect time to ease back into (or start fresh with) Pilates. It builds strength, improves posture, and calms the mind, all while giving your body the love it deserves. Whether you’re new or returning, our small-group classes and reformer sessions are designed to meet you right where you’re at.
2. Mindfulness in Motion
Fall often brings busy schedules, school routines, and a million to-dos. Our solution? Find moments of mindfulness through movement.
